Could you explain exactly what you mean by this? I'd guess you are
suggesting switching to the +other+ band (the one that has the frequency
you are extending, eg. a repeater or something). Please explain how this
will work effectively (signal must overcome the other on freq, without
causing interference).

Cross band repeaters really must have AUTOMATIC identification if there is
ANY change of them being activated without your being in complete control.
(and be sure your +control+ is happening above 220 mhz).
